We Will Remember Them Ontario Command 1 www.on.legion.ca 2026 I am pleased to offer my congratulations to the Ontario Command of the Royal Canadian Legion on the 13th edition of the Military Service Recognition Book. By collecting Veterans’ stories over the years, the Ontario Command has created a powerful tribute to their bravery and dedication. Together with previous volumes, this book offers Ontarians an invaluable opportunity to learn about the contributions they have made at home and abroad, and their tireless commitment to achieving and preserving peace. We are reminded of their sacrifices and their remarkable impact in shaping the country we are proud to call home. En tant que représentante de la Couronne en Ontario, je tiens à exprimer ma profonde et sincère gratitude à la Légion royale canadienne ainsi qu’à toutes les personnes qui ont contribué à cette publication. Military Service Recognition Book Volume XIII 6
We Will Remember Them Ontario Command 7 www.on.legion.ca 2026 I would like to extend my warm greetings to the readers and contributors of the 13th edition of The Royal Canadian Legion Ontario Command's Military Service Recognition Book. This edition reflects the Legion’s enduring commitment to remembrance, service and community. It recognizes that military service takes many forms and that every contribution— whether on operations abroad or in support roles at home—deserves to be recorded, respected and remembered. Ontario has long played a central role in Canada’s military history. Ontarians have consistently answered the call to serve. We are home to one of the largest veteran populations in the country. This book helps ensure that no service is forgotten and that future generations understand the sacrifices made so we can live in peace and prosperity. Many thanks to the Royal Canadian Legion, Ontario Provincial Command members, volunteers and supporters across Ontario whose efforts have made this publication possible. May this book serve as a lasting symbol of remembrance and a meaningful reminder of Ontario’s ongoing commitment to honouring those who have served Canada. We Will Remember Them Ontario Command 9 www.on.legion.ca It is with great pleasure that I welcome you to Volume XIII of our Military Service Recognition Book (MSRB). Many volunteer hours have been spent in providing the submissions in this record of history. I couldn’t be more grateful to all of you who have contributed the photos and stories of your friends or loved ones honouring military Veterans within the Province of Ontario who have served our country. By participating in this publication, thousands of veterans and spouses from the Province of Ontario have and continue to benefit from the many Veterans Transition programs that proceeds from these booklets provide. To date over $2.51 million dollars has been raised and those programs continue to change lives. My special thanks to our MSRB committee chair Rae Ann Bauman and her two Provincial Coordinators Carolyn McCaul and Laurie Ridgeway-Stoltz for their commitment and compassion for this publication, which has once again shown such positive results. My thanks as well to the District, Zone, and Branch Coordinators and especially to all Branch and Ladies Auxiliary members who provided the content. To Mark Fenety of Fenety Marketing Services, the publisher of MSRB, thank you and your staff for your continued partnership. Without your effort in reaching out to the advertisers each year this program would not be possible. This publication adds to our mission to serve Veterans and their families, to promote Remembrance, and to serve our communities. Remember the sacrifices that have been made as you browse through. Our Veterans will never be forgotten. Enjoy Volume XIII. Lynn McClellan President Ontario Command A MESSAGE FROM THE PRESIDENT

We Will Remember Them Ontario Command 11 www.on.legion.ca A MESSAGE FROMTHE CHAIR RAE ANN BAUMAN It is a profound honor to contribute this message to the Military Service Recognition Book and to recognize the brave individuals whose dedication and sacrifice are reflected in these pages. Military service embodies courage, honor, and an unwavering commitment to something greater than oneself. The men and women recognized in this book have demonstrated extraordinary strength and selflessness in service to our nation and our communities. Their contributions and sacrifices deserve our deepest gratitude and lasting respect. I am especially proud of Volume 13, which marks my first issue as Chair of the program. It is a privilege to help continue this important tradition of honoring the remarkable service and sacrifice of our military community. This volume stands as a meaningful tribute to those who have answered the call to serve and reflects the deep appreciation we hold for their dedication and patriotism. To date, we have raised more than $2.5 million through the generous support of advertisers and donors. These funds help support a variety of Veteran Transition programs throughout the province, providing meaningful assistance to Veterans and their families as they navigate life beyond military service. This achievement is a testament to the collective commitment of our supporters, partners, and communities who recognize the importance of giving back to those who have given so much. I would like to extend my heartfelt appreciation to our two Provincial Coordinators, Carolyn McCaul and Laurie Ridgway-Stoltz, whose leadership and dedication continue to be instrumental to the success of this program. I also offer sincere thanks to our District Coordinators, District Commanders, Zone Commanders, the staff at Ontario Command, our Provincial President, members of our Ladies’ Auxiliary, and our Senior Elected Officers of Ontario Command. It is through the collective passion, commitment, and tireless efforts of these individuals that we are able to continue sharing and preserving the stories of our Veterans, both past and present, in communities across this great province. Their unwavering support ensures that the sacrifices, achievements, and legacies of those who served are remembered and honored for generations to come. I extend sincere appreciation to all Veterans, active-duty service members, reservists, and military families. Your service has protected the freedoms and opportunities we value every day, and your example continues to inspire generations of Canadians. May the Military Service Recognition Book preserve these stories with the dignity they deserve and serve as a lasting reminder of the enduring value of service, sacrifice, and commitment to country. Together, we Remember. Together, we Recognize. Together, we Honour. Rae Ann Bauman Military Service Recognition Book Chair Royal Canadian Legion Ontario Command
