We Will Remember Them Ontario Command 11 www.on.legion.ca A MESSAGE FROMTHE CHAIR RAE ANN BAUMAN It is a profound honor to contribute this message to the Military Service Recognition Book and to recognize the brave individuals whose dedication and sacrifice are reflected in these pages. Military service embodies courage, honor, and an unwavering commitment to something greater than oneself. The men and women recognized in this book have demonstrated extraordinary strength and selflessness in service to our nation and our communities. Their contributions and sacrifices deserve our deepest gratitude and lasting respect. I am especially proud of Volume 13, which marks my first issue as Chair of the program. It is a privilege to help continue this important tradition of honoring the remarkable service and sacrifice of our military community. This volume stands as a meaningful tribute to those who have answered the call to serve and reflects the deep appreciation we hold for their dedication and patriotism. To date, we have raised more than $2.5 million through the generous support of advertisers and donors. These funds help support a variety of Veteran Transition programs throughout the province, providing meaningful assistance to Veterans and their families as they navigate life beyond military service. This achievement is a testament to the collective commitment of our supporters, partners, and communities who recognize the importance of giving back to those who have given so much. I would like to extend my heartfelt appreciation to our two Provincial Coordinators, Carolyn McCaul and Laurie Ridgway-Stoltz, whose leadership and dedication continue to be instrumental to the success of this program. I also offer sincere thanks to our District Coordinators, District Commanders, Zone Commanders, the staff at Ontario Command, our Provincial President, members of our Ladies’ Auxiliary, and our Senior Elected Officers of Ontario Command. It is through the collective passion, commitment, and tireless efforts of these individuals that we are able to continue sharing and preserving the stories of our Veterans, both past and present, in communities across this great province. Their unwavering support ensures that the sacrifices, achievements, and legacies of those who served are remembered and honored for generations to come. I extend sincere appreciation to all Veterans, active-duty service members, reservists, and military families. Your service has protected the freedoms and opportunities we value every day, and your example continues to inspire generations of Canadians. May the Military Service Recognition Book preserve these stories with the dignity they deserve and serve as a lasting reminder of the enduring value of service, sacrifice, and commitment to country. Together, we Remember. Together, we Recognize. Together, we Honour. Rae Ann Bauman Military Service Recognition Book Chair Royal Canadian Legion Ontario Command
