The Royal Canadian Legion Saskatchewan Command LEST WE FORGET 83 CLARK, John Scott WWII John was born in Kelliher, SK on April 4, 1920 and enlisted with the Saskatoon Light Infantry (SLI), 1st Division in 1941 serving as a driver/mechanic in Italy, Sicily, France, Belgium, Holland and Germany. He was involved in the liberation of Holland. John was hospitalized in Africa for jaundice and malaria. He was discharged in November 1945 and returned to Holland on two occasions, the last in 2005 for the 60th Anniversary of the Holland Liberation. Scott is currently living in Kelliher after retiring from the family farm in 1981. CLARK, Sinclair WWII Sinclair was born in July of 1928 in Carlyle, SK. He enlisted with the Royal Canadian Air Force in February of 1943. He trained as an Airplane Mechanic and served for 28 months in Canada until his discharge in June of 1945. Sinclair was a Life Member of The Royal Canadian Legion Carlyle Branch #248. CLARKE, Percy Desmond WWI Percy was born in Pembrooke, Ontario on January1, 1896. He joined the Canadian Armed Forces 96th Battalion Regiment 204697 on April 8, 1916 and served in Canada, England and France in the Battles of Ypres, Passchendaele and Vimy Ridge. He was discharged in May 1919. Percy farmed in the Dinsmore area from the 1920’s to the 1980’s. He passed away on January 28, 1984. CLARK, Thomas Irving WWII Thomas was born in Kelliher, SK on November 30, 1918 and joined the Air Force as an aircraft electrician serving in Lethbridge, AB. Upon his discharge in 1945, Tom returned to Winnipeg and worked for Winnipeg Hydro until his retirement in 1984. He passed away on March 31, 1991.
