The Royal Canadian Legion Saskatchewan Command LEST WE FORGET 347 VOSHELL, Earl Joseph WWII Earl was born in Birch Hills, SK, in 1926. He enlisted with the Canadian Scottish Regiment and served in France, Belgium, and Holland. He was killed in action on February 19, 1945, at age 19, and is buried at Groesbeek Canadian War Cemetery near Nijmegen, Netherlands. Earl was the son of J. B. and Charlotte Voshell. WALL, Eldon WWII Eldon was one of twelve children born to Joseph and Florence Wall. He was born in Findlater, SK, in 1926 and went to Winton Shannonville and Windermere Schools. He joined the Army and was stationed at Edmonton, Arnprior, and St. Thomas. He worked for Inco for 21 years as a diamond driller doing explorations across Canada and the USA. Eldon did not marry, and passed away in 1994 in Melfort, SK, where he was the owner of Northern Salvage. WALL, John WWII John was one of twelve children born to Joseph and Florence Wall. He was born in Shawville, Quebec, in 1909. He joined the Army and served in England and Continental Europe in World War II. He married in England and had one son. He and his wife later divorced, and John returned to Canada. He married Catherine Baines of Saskatoon, who had one daughter. John passed away in 1978 at age 69. WALL, Gilbert WWII Gilbert was one of twelve children born to Joseph and Florence Wall. He was born in Chamberlain, SK, in 1923 and moved to Kinistino with his family in 1931. He attended Windermere and Winton Schools and joined the Army and served in Canada and overseas. He married Dorothy Shier and they lived in Thompson, Manitoba, and had a family of five sons and two daughters. Gilbert passed away in 1989.
