The Royal Canadian Legion Saskatchewan Command LEST WE FORGET 29 ARGUE, William Alvin WWI William was born in Richmond, Ontario in 1896 and lived on a farm near Stittville, Ontario, until 1910, when his family moved to Rouleau, SK. He joined the Canadian Army in December of 1915, training as a signaller with the 5th Battalion, serving until 1919 in England, France, Belgium and Germany. He was discharged in 1919, and then farmed from 1919-1929 in Tilney, SK, and from 1930-1967 in Rouleau-Weilcox, SK. He was a Legion member from 1925-1991 with the Rouleau Branch # 44. William passed away in April, 1992. ARKSEY, Stanley Herbert WWII Stanley was born in 1922 in Rocanville, SK and enlisted with the Canadian Army (Active) serving in Canada, Britain and Northwest Europe. He received the 1939-45 Star, France-Germany Star, the Canadian Volunteer Service Medal with Clasp, and the War Medal 1939-45. Stanley passed away in 2003. ARMSTRONG, George Wilbert WWI George was born in 1888 in Powasson, Ontario. He served in the Army. George passed away in 1949. ARMOUR, Wilton Garnet WWII Wilton was born in 1922 in Foam Lake, SK and joined the #207 Squadron (Semper Paratus) as a Pilot Officer (Navigator) Lancaster PB 428 serving in England. He returned from Target Hamburg and was in the landing circuit when it was in a mid-air collision with another Lancaster. The plane crashed and burned at Bratoft near Skegness, Lincolnshire, England. All the crew of PB 428 were killed in 1944. He is buried at Stonefall Cemetery, Wetherby Road, Harrogate, Yorkshire, England.
