The Royal Canadian Legion Saskatchewan Command LEST WE FORGET 297 SHAW, Robert WWI Robert was born in Yorkshire, England, in 1886. He joined the 77th Depot Battery C.F.A. in April 1916 as a driver and served in Canada, England and France. In April 1919, Robert was discharged with the rank of corporal. He received the General Service Medal and the Victory Medal. It is interesting to note that his son, K.J. (Bill) Shaw, served in the RCAF as a mechanic during WWII. Robert joined the Earl Grey Branch in April 1930. SHEARER, Jack WWII Jack enlisted with the South Saskatchewan Regiment in 1943 and served in Canada, the UK, Germany, France and Holland. He was discharged in April 1946 and received the 1939 France-Germany Star, the War Medal 1939-45, and the Canadian Volunteer Service Medal and Clasp. SHILLINGTON, Gordon WWII Gordon was born in Delisle, SK, and joined the Air Force, serving in Canada and England. He is now retired in Saskatoon, SK. SHILLINGTON, Donald WWII Donald was born in Delisle, SK. He joined the Navy and served in Canada and the Atlantic Ocean. He passed away in 1999.
