He was awarded the Conspicuous Gallantry Medal. He passed away on February 21, 1944, and is buried at Bontenheim Cemetery in Germany. RYMES, William Thomas WWI William was born in Sussex, England, in 1889. He enlisted with the 203rd on May 13, 1915, and served in France until his discharge in February 1919. He was a member of the Earl Grey Branch of The Royal Canadian Legion. SANDERSON, William B. WWI William was born in Muskeg Lake Cree Nation, SK. He enlisted with the 28th Battalion on February 23, 1917, serving in Canada, France and Britain. He was wounded in action on September 10, 1918, and was discharged on February 12, 1919. He received the British War Medal and the Victory Medal. SANDERSON, Francis Xavier WWII Francis was born in Muskeg Lake Cree Nation, SK, on September 8, 1913. He joined the Saskatoon Light Infantry (MG) on November 15, 1941, serving in Canada. He was discharged on December 2, 1943 and received the Canadian Volunteer Service Medal, and the War Medal 1939-45. Francis passed away in 1961.
