The Royal Canadian Legion Saskatchewan Command LEST WE FORGET 273 POULTON, Alan Ronald WWII Alan was born in Saskatchewan in 1925 and enlisted with the First Armoured Car Battery Canadian Armoured Corps serving in England and Sicily. He was killed in action in Sicily in 1943. POULTON, Glen Wallace WWII Glen was born in the USA in 1923. He enlisted with the 15th Field 110 Battery 4th Division on the Army, serving in England, France, Belgium, Holland and Germany. PUKAS, Joseph WWII Joseph was born in Pinto, SK, in 1918. He signed up with the 8th RECCE 2nd Division attached to the 14th Hussars. In 1940, he received training in Regina and was sent overseas. He was wounded in Orbeck, France, on August 23, 1944, a small community outside of Caen. While stationed in southern England, Arndal Castle, Kent and other communities, he met Gladys Kimber. They married and had four children. They came home to North Portal, SK, where they farmed until his passing on December 14, 1990. PTOLEMY, Jesse Fraser WWI Jesse was born in Markdale, ON, on April 15, 1896. He enlisted with the 1st Depot Battalion Saskatchewan Regiment on July 10, 1918, and served in Canada. He was discharged on November 12, 1919, and returned to farm in Saskatchewan. He married in 1927 and raised four daughters. He retired in 1963 in Dinsmore and passed away on October 22, 1979.
