The Royal Canadian Legion Saskatchewan Command LEST WE FORGET 225 MANDIN, Louis WWII Louis was born in 1923. He joined the Army, serving in Canada, the UK, and Continental Europe. MANSON, Kenneth Arthur WWII Kenneth was born on September 16, 1921, on the farm at Winton, SK. He joined the RCAF in 1942, spending four months at training school in Saskatoon, then on to Toronto for basic training, and was posted to Saskatoon #4 SFTS in 1943 and was there until the European War was over in 1945. Ken was discharged from the service in December 1945 and returned home to farm and later moved to Birch Hills and continuing farming there. Kenneth passed away on August 1, 1990. MARIANI, Dominique WWII Dominique was born in 1922 and joined the Army, serving in Canada, the UK, and Continental Europe. He received the 1939-45 War Medal, the Defence Medal and the Canadian Volunteer Service Medal and Clasp. MANSON, Paul Richmond WWII Paul was born on August 2, 1918; one of seven children born to Alex and Iva (Hounsell) Manson. He had a twin brother named George. He married Jean Wall and they had three children: Wayne, Darryl and Marjorie. Paul enlisted in the Army and was with the Royal Canadian Infantry Corp #11, CMGTC. He accidentally died on July 16, 1944, while stationed at Camp Borden, and is buried in the Winton Cemetery, north of Birch Hills, where he grew up and lived.
