The Royal Canadian Legion Saskatchewan Command LEST WE FORGET 205 LARMAN, Lars Ingmar WWII Lars was born north of Leslie, SK, and joined the Royal Regiment of Canada serving in Canada, England and France. He passed away on September 15, 1944. LEACH, Clarence Wilfred WWII Wilfred was born in Neepawa, Manitoba, on February 7, 1920. He joined the 41st Transport Company at Regina in October 1941, and after basic training in Regina, was sent to Dundurn for advanced training, then to Red Deer, Alberta, for driver training and D.R. training, and then on to Vancouver for a mechanic course. He served in Belgium, Holland and Germany, and received the Volunteer Service Medal, the King George Medal, and the Canadian Volunteer Medal. Wilfred is retired from farming and lives in Nipawin, SK. LECOUILLARD, Cyril Terrell “Bud” WWII Bud was born in Reynaud, SK, on April 5, 1925. He joined the South Saskatchewan Regiment in Regina in February 1944, and served with the Medical Corps in Canada and England. He later saw active duty in Belgium and France. He was discharged in April 1946. In the early 1950’s, he moved to Regina where he married and raised two daughters. He passed away on August 8, 2005, and is buried in the Soldier’s Plot in Regina’s Riverside Memorial Park. LEASK, George J. WWII George was born in Prince Albert, SK, on March 15, 1906, and grew up on a farm in Marcelin. He enlisted with the Royal Canadian Navy, serving as stoker 1 on HMCS Peregrine. After the war, he returned to the farm and married Dorothy Clarke and raised four sons and three daughters. George passed away on January 22, 2001, at the age of 94.
