He enlisted with the CEF 5th Battalion Canadian Overseas in July 1915 and was discharged in June 1916 because he was unfit for service due to a head wound. KELL, Harold Alan WWII Harold was born in Prince Albert, SK, in 1916. He joined the 8th Canadian RECCE Regiment, serving in England. He tried to join the Air Force with his twin brother, Les, but was initially rejected due to some color blindness, which was considered very critical for the air service. He passed away in 1988. He was a member of the Canwood Branch #132. KEMPTON, Maurice McAllister WWII Maurice was born in Carlyle, SK. He enlisted with the Royal Canadian Air Force and served as a navigator. He took several Wellingtons over the Atlantic and then to Egypt. While in Malta, he was promoted to Flying Officer. FO Maurice McAllister Kempton was killed in action in the Middle East. KEMP, Lloyd Edward WWII Lloyd was born in Kisbey, SK, on December 10, 1922, and enlisted in the Army on November 4, 1942, serving in England. He was discharged on March 20, 1946, and farmed for some time upon his return home. He moved to Alberta and worked in a Mentally Handicap Hospital. He was a member of the Broadview Branch #148 for 25 years.
