The Royal Canadian Legion Saskatchewan Command LEST WE FORGET 159 HARRIS, Reginald Alfred WWII Reginald was born in Reading, England, on July 12, 1914, and came to Canada with his parents on April 6, 1928. Reginald was an ardent ball player, loved sports, and was an avid hunter. He served in the Royal Canadian Air Force and was stationed in Canada at Mossbank, Dafoe and Prince Albert training stations for the RCAF. He was honourably released and transferred to the Reserve, General Section, Class “E” on January 5, 1946. He was awarded the Canadian Volunteer Service Medal. Reginald married Pauline Arngrimson in 1945 and had four children. He and Pauline farmed for many years at Spruce Home before moving to Prince Albert where he still lives today. HARVOLD, Olaf WWI Olaf was born in Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA, in 1896. He joined the 12th Military District 1st Depot Battalion Saskatchewan Regiment and served in Canada. Olaf passed away in 1983. HAWORTH, Frank WWII Frank was born in Jansen, SK, on May 25, 1921. He joined the RCNVR and sailed on the HMCS Niagara and HMCS Prestonian, serving Canada and the High Seas. He was discharged in December 1945, and attended the University of Saskatchewan and became a Chartered Accountant. HAUTA, Everet Erven WWII Everet was born near Dinsmore and joined the 81st LAD-8th Field Regiment/5th Division of the Royal Canadian Artillery on October 2, 1941, serving in Italy, Belgium and Holland. He was discharged on February 21, 1946. He took mechanics in trade school in Calgary, Kingston, London, ON, and Fort Knox, USA. He went to England in 1943 and later to Italy. He was married to Taimi Linne for almost 60 years, a very good husband and father of four children. Everet is deceased.
