The Royal Canadian Legion Saskatchewan Command LEST WE FORGET 13 ANDERSON, Moffat “Andy” WWII Andy was born on October 2, 1921 in Greenrock, Scotland. He enlisted with the Canadian Army in October of 1939. He served with the AUX 406 Squadron Air Cadets, as well as Squadrons 702, 402, 414, 412. He served in the British Isles from 1941-1945, and took part in the D-Day Landing on June 10, 1944. He returned to Canada in 1945 and received his discharge in June of that year. Andy has been a member of The Royal Canadian Legion for 63 years. ANDERSON, Norman Leonard WWII Norman was born in 1918 in Broderick, SK. He enlisted with the Royal Canadian Air Force in Saskatoon in December of 1939. He was stationed in Saskatoon and St. Thomas, ON as an Aircraft Engine Mechanic. He received his discharge in 1945. Norman has been a member of The Royal Canadian Legion Outlook Branch #262 for 35 years. ANDREWS, Jack WWII Jack was born in Carlyle, Saskatchewan. He enlisted with the Permanent Air Force on July 3, 1936 and served as a Squadron Leader until his discharge on February 26, 1965. Jack passed away on November 10, 1996. ANDERSON, William “Bill” WWII Bill was born in 1922. He enlisted with the Army and served with the Engineers, Ordinance Corp in England, Scotland, Wales, France, Belgium and Holland. He received the 1939-45 War Medal, Defence Medal, Canadian Volunteer Service Medal and Clasp, France and Germany Star, and the 1939-45 Star.
