He joined the Royal Canadian Army Service Corps on September 23, 1940, serving in Canada. He was discharged on January 4, 1946, and received the Canadian Volunteer Service Medal and the War Medal 1939-45. He passed away in 1978. GREYEYES-STEELE, David George WWII David was born in Muskeg Lake Cree Nation, SK, on December 31, 1914. He joined the Saskatoon Light Infantry on June 1, 1940. He also served with the Seaforth Highlanders of Canada in Central Mediterranean and Northwest Europe. He was discharged on July 3, 1946, and received the 1939-45 Star, the Italy Star, the France-Germany Star, the Defence Medal, the CVSM with Clasp, the War Medal 1939-45, and the Military Cross Class (111) (Greece). David passed away on July 22, 1996. GREYEYES, William C. WWII William was born in Muskeg Lake Cree Nation, SK, on February 9, 1900. He joined the Royal Canadian Artillery on July 9, 1940, serving in Canada. He was discharged on August 6, 1945, and received the Canadian Volunteer Service Medal and the War Medal, 1939-45. William passed away in 1975. GREYEYES, Thomas WWII Thomas was born in Muskeg Lake Cree Nation, SK, in 1926. He joined the Canadian Army (Active) on July 19, 1943, serving in Canada. He was discharged on October 8, 1943, and received the War Medal 1939-45. Thomas passed away in 1945.
