The Royal Canadian Legion Saskatchewan Command LEST WE FORGET 139 GOULDING, Keith WWII Keith was born in Canwood, SK. in 1920. He joined the C.M.S. Intelligence Corps and served from 1941 to 1945 as a Sergeant in Canada and mostly in Quebec. He passed away in 1990. GOULDING, Kenneth WWII Kenneth was born in Canwood, SK, in 1922. He enlisted with the Regina Rifles and served from 1939 to 1945 in Regina as a dispatch rider on a motorbike. He was wounded a few times but was able to carry on in the war effort as they were not too serious. Kenneth passed away in 1987. GRANBERG, Elof WWII Elof was born in Umea, Sweden, in 1919. He joined the Regina Rifles Regiment D Company in May 1940 at Prince Albert. He was a Sergeant in the Anti-Tank Platoon Support Company, serving in Normandy, France, on D-Day. His most scary time was when the panther tank ran over a fox hole that he was in with two other men. Even though the tank straddled the trench, the soft farm land pressed around the men squashing them. It was good luck that they survived. Elof was wounded in Wessant, a small village south of Calais and no longer served in the war. GRAHAM, Leslie Russell WWII Leslie was born on November 22, 1922, and enlisted with the 1st Cor 1st Division Seventh Anti-Tank as a tank mechanic in 1940, serving in Canada, England, Sicily, Italy, Germany, Holland, France and Belgium. After the war, Leslie went back home to Saskatchewan and farmed. He is a 60 year member of the Neilburg Branch #135.
