Military Service Recognition Book Volume VII 406 We Remember. We are eternally grateful for our Veterans who served for our freedom. The Town of Ajax, named after the courageous British warship HMS Ajax, began as the site for the largest ammunitions plant in the British Commonwealth during WWII, providing munitions to support the allied forces. A community born from conflict, the town is a standing memorial and testament to the countless sacrifices that our Veterans made to ensure our freedom and safety. We honour and pay tribute to all Veterans and current military personnel who have proven their heroism and love for our country time and time again.
