He joined the Royal Canadian Air Force and served with 435 Squadron (Hercules Transport) in Cyprus, Bosnia, Somalia, Rwanda, Haiti, Germany, Norway, New Zealand, Australia and Alert. He was awarded the Canadian Forces Decoration and the Special Service Medal (NATO – Peacekeeping in Cyprus). PATTERSON, Garry J. PEACETIME Garry was born in Boissevain, Manitoba on February 26, 1953. He joined the Army and served with the Princess Patricia’s Canadian Light Infantry in Canada, the United States and Cyprus. He has been a member of Vedder Golden Legion Branch 280 in Chilliwack, British Columbia for fourteen years. PATTERSON, Walter T. WWI Walter was born in Boissevain, Manitoba in 1898. He joined the Army and served in Canada and France. Walter was a member of The Royal Canadian Legion in Winnipeg, Manitoba prior to his passing away in 1990. PATTERSON, Keith R. SPECIAL DUTY AREA Keith was born in Boissevain, Manitoba in 1950. He joined the Royal Canadian Air Force and served in Egypt from July 1976 to January 1977. He has been a member of Boissevain Legion Branch 10 for ten years.
