LEST WE FORGET 43 ANDREWS, Jack WWII Jack was born in Carlyle, Saskatchewan. He enlisted with the Permanent Air Force on July 3, 1936 and served as a Squadron Leader until his discharge on February 26, 1965. Jack passed away on November 10, 1996. ANSON, Douglas Bernard RCMP Douglas was born on December 26, 1939. He enlisted on October 21, 1959, in Ottawa, Ontario and served in the RCMP Depot Recruit Training. Cst. Douglas Anson served most of his career in Saskatchewan. He passed away on October 9, 1970, in MacDowall, Saskatchewan, at the age of thirty. ANDREWS, Robert William WWII Robert was born in Eureka, Montana on February 2, 1920. He enlisted with the Army on August 2, 1940 and served with the 21st Army Group, 17th Field Regiment in Europe until his discharge on October 10, 1945. He received six medals: the Canadian Volunteer Medal with Clasp, 1939-1945 Star, Italian Star, France and Germany Star, War Medal 1939-1945 and Defence Medal. He also received a citation from Field Marshall B. L. Montgomery for service and devotion to duty in N.E. Europe. He was a member of The Royal Canadian Legion Branch 248 for 62 years before he passed away on October 28, 2006.
