LEST WE FORGET 357 WRIGLEY, Alfred WWII Alfred was born in 1913 in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan, and moved with his parents and family to Ditton Park in 1919. He served in the RCA from 1940 to 1945. Alfred married Alice Smith in Winnipeg in 1940 before going overseas. They raised two children, Thomas and Evelyn, and moved to Calgary. Alfred is now deceased. WRIGLEY, Thomas WWI In 1904, Thomas came to Canada from Lancashire, England, and settled in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan. He married Alice in 1911 and filed for a homestead in 1914. Thomas served in the CEF, 46th Battalion overseas from 1915 to 1918. In 1919, he moved his family to Ditton Park to homestead. Their children were: Alfred, Philip, twins Russell and Wilfred, and Muriel. Thomas passed away in 1965, and Alice passed away in 1973. WRIGLEY, Russell WWII Russell was born in 1921 at Ditton Park and served in the Royal Canadian Air Force from 1941 to 1946. He married Beatrice Pearson in 1949 and farmed in Ditton Park and raised two children, Wanda and Richard, who attended Arborfield School. Russell and Beatrice retired from farming in 1976 and moved to Melfort. Russell is now deceased.
