LEST WE FORGET 335 WANAMAKER, William James WWII William was born in 1915 in Regina. He was farming when he enlisted in Nipawin in 1941 to serve during World War II. Corporal William James Wanamaker was killed in action during the pursuit to the Seine and is buried at Bretteville-sur-Laize Canadian War Cemetery in Calvados, France. He was the son of Wilfred Stanley and Anna Maria Wanamaker and left a wife Kate, son Robert Garry and daughter June Carolyn. WARDER, Frank Goodman WWII Frank was born in Birch Hills, Saskatchewan, in 1916. He enlisted with the Royal Canadian Air Force and served in England and Scotland. Frank passed away in 1995. WARDER, Arthur Charles WWII Charles was born in Birch Hills, Saskatchewan, in 1918. He joined the Medical Branch of the Royal Canadian Naval Voluntary Reserve and served in the Halifax area. Charles passed away in 2007. He was a member of The Royal Canadian Legion Birch Hills Branch 122 for over thirty years.
