LEST WE FORGET 327 TYRIE, Charles WWII Charles was born in Dumbarton, Scotland, on September 4, 1909. He enlisted in the Army with the Regina Rifles in 1940, and served in Canada, England, Normandy and Holland. He was wounded on June 6, 1944 and was discharged on September 1, 1945. He received a Medal presented by the People of Normandy. Charles passed away on October 20, 1996. He was a member of The Royal Canadian Legion Lloydminster Branch 39 for forty years. ULVID, Carl WWII Carl was born in Hagen, Saskatchewan, in 1921. He joined the Army and served during World War II. He passed away in 2004. UCHACZ, Joseph WWII Joseph was born in Ituna, Saskatchewan, on May 14, 1922. He joined the Regina Rifles Regiment in January 1942, and served in Nanaimo, Prince George, Courtenay, Regina, Wainwright, Calgary, Belgium, Holland, France and England. He was discharged in 1946, and got married on November 21, 1951, and farmed for a living. He and his wife had two daughters, five grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren. Joseph passed away on May 1, 2002.
