LEST WE FORGET 297 SOISETH, Arthur WWII Arthur was born in Pekin, North Dakota, USA, on February 12, 1920. He enlisted with the Canadian Transport Company in June 1941 and served in Canada, France, Belgium, Holland, Germany and Denmark. He received the Canadian Volunteer Service Medal and Clasp, War Medal 1939-1945, and Defence Medal. He was discharged in May 1946, and farmed until he retired in North Battleford, Saskatchewan. He passed away in 1988. STEADMAN, George Harry WWI George was born in Ontario in 1892. He enlisted with the 195th Battalion on March 21, 1916, leaving behind a wife and six children. He served in France and was discharged on March 21, 1919, and received the Service Medal. He joined The Royal Canadian Legion Earl Grey Branch on June 7, 1930. SPRIGGS, Herbert WWII Herbert was born in Duck Lake, Saskatchewan, on March 23, 1920. He enlisted in the Armed Forces on April 19, 1943, and served overseas as a cook from 1943 to September 18, 1946. Upon his discharge, he resumed his occupation of meat cutter and butcher. He passed away on September 18, 1987. He was a member of The Royal Canadian Legion Leask Branch 179 for 37 years.
