LEST WE FORGET 291 SIMPSON, Thomas Russell WWI Thomas was born in Morden, Manitoba, in 1897. He enlisted with the 209th Battalion in May 1916 and served with the 10th Battalion in France, Vimy Ridge and Hill 70. He was badly wounded on Hill 70 in August 1917 and spent one year in a military hospital in Liverpool and a further two years in Winnipeg. His left leg was the worst part of the damage and the DVA made special boots for him in Shaughnessy Hospital, where he had been for five years until his death in 1983. SINCLAIR, Wayne RCMP Wayne was born in Manitoba on July 1, 1937. He enlisted on April 24, 1959 and served in the RCMP in Indian Head, Saskatchewan and then transferred to Highway Patrol in Regina. Cst. Wayne Sinclair passed away on September 17, 1961, in Regina, Saskatchewan, at the age of 24. SINCLAIR, Peter WWI Peter was born in Scotland in 1891. He enlisted with the 52nd Battalion and served in France. He received a medical discharge in April 1918, and received the General Service Medal and the Victory Medal. He was a member of The Royal Canadian Legion Earl Grey Branch.
