LEST WE FORGET 283 SHILLINGTON, Wibert WWII Wibert was born in Delisle, Saskatchewan. He joined the Air Force and served in Canada. He passed away in July 2005. SHORE, Hugo Martin KOREA & PEACETIME Hugo was born in 1930. He joined the Royal Canadian Navy in 1947, serving five years, including the Korean War 1951-1952 with the HMCS Sioux. In the Navy, he mastered a five-year course to become Petty Officer in three years. After leaving the Navy, he had a varied career. Hugo worked on the D.E.W. line in the Arctic in telecommunications for BC Telephone, CN and Tele-Radio Systems. In 1952, he married Anne Thomson of Vancouver and they had four children. Hugo passed away in 1999, at age 69, and is buried in the Kinistino Cemetery. SHIPLEY, Alfred James WWII Alfred was born on a farm near Brooksby, Saskatchewan on September 18, 1909. Trooper Alfred James Shipley was a member of the D Squadron Royal Canadian Dragoons (RCD) 1st Armoured Car Regiment. While in England in 1941, he participated in a variety of Schemes (training) and served in Italy from 1944 to 1945. In August 1945, he returned home. While he was stationed in England, he had several visits with an aunt in Yorkshire. Alfred passed away on April 5, 1992.
