LEST WE FORGET 275 SCHLICHEMEYER, Henry WWII Henry was born in Rosthern, Saskatchewan, on January 27, 1921. He enlisted with the Regina Rifles on February 3, 1943, serving in Canada, England and Germany. He was discharged on December 25, 1945, and farmed in the Wandsworth district, where he raised his family of five until they moved to Leask, Saskatchewan. Henry passed away on March 8, 2000. SCHUWEILER, John Joseph WWII John was born on the family farm near Limerick, Saskatchewan on December 12, 1918. John signed up in the Army in Regina on March 13, 1942, under the National Resources Mobilization Act for young men who wanted to serve the war on home defence duties. John was discharged on February 27, 1946 which he received a War Service Badge. On his return to Limerick, he farmed for a while and then moved to Assiniboia permanently and worked summers with the R.M. of Stonehenge driving grader and in winter worked various jobs. John passed away on October 14, 1976, at the age of 57. SCHRADER, Robert James RCMP Robert was born in Alberta on June 24, 1929. He enlisted on June 10, 1948, and served in the RCMP. Most of his career was served in Saskatchewan. He passed away on October 9, 1970, in MacDowall, Saskatchewan, at the age of 41.
