LEST WE FORGET 189 McGILLIVRAY, Earl Lewis WWII Earl was born in Central Butte, Saskatchewan in 1918, the son of Alexander and Sara Ann McGillivray. He served with the Royal Canadian Air Force 405 Squadron in Canada and in Great Britain. Sergeant Earl Lewis McGillivray was shot down and killed in action on November 29, 1942, at the age of 24. Earl is buried in Dishforth Cemetery in Thirsk Yorkshire, England. McKIM, Robert Kenneth WWII Rober t was born in Riceton, Saskatchewan, on October 9, 1923. He enlisted in the Army on January 30, 1943, serving in the United Kingdom, Continental Europe, and the Central Mediterranean Area. After the war, he was billeted in Holland with a local family. He was discharged on February 14, 1946, and farmed in the Riceton and Milestone areas. Robert passed away on August 22, 2002. McKEEN, Ronald WWII Ronald was born in Speers in 1917. He enlisted in the Army in 1943, serving in Canada, the United Kingdom, Italy, and Holland. He was discharged in 1943, and was a Life Member of The Royal Canadian Legion. He received the Defence Medal and the European Medal. Ronald passed away on July 23, 2000.
