LEST WE FORGET 167 LYALL, William Pascal WWI William was born in Scotland in 1871. He immigrated to Canada and lived in Ontario for a time and then moved to Saskatchewan and enlisted in the Army in World War I and was wounded in action overseas. He returned to his homestead and lived there for the next fifty years, and then moved to St. Louis until his death in 1961. LYONS, George WWI &WWII George was born in Birch Hills, Saskatchewan, on December 12, 1892. He joined the Canadian Army. George passed away on July 19, 1981. He was a member of The Royal Canadian Legion in British Columbia. LYONS, Earl WWII Earl was born in Brancepeth, Saskatchewan, in 1922. He joined the Royal Canadian Dragoons on January 18, 1943, and landed in the United Kingdom on August 28 that year. He left England on October 25 and landed in Sicily on November 2. Fourteen days later, he was wounded (burned) and was discharged from the Army. Earl passed away in 2004.
