LEST WE FORGET 145 LANGLEY, William Stephen “Bill” WWII Bill was born in Saskatchewan in 1919. He enlisted as a navigator with the RCAF Beau Fighter 404th Squadron in 1941, serving in Canada and Europe. He was discharged in 1945, and went teaching and retired in Speers. He received the Canadian Volunteer Service Medal, and the Defence Medal. William passed away on January 1, 2001. He was a member of The Royal Canadian Legion Speers Branch 116 for 37 years. LEASK, George J. WWII George was born in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan, on March 15, 1906, and grew up on a farm in Marcelin. He enlisted with the Royal Canadian Navy, serving as stoker 1 on HMCS Peregrine. After the war, he returned to the farm and married Dorothy Clarke and raised four sons and three daughters. George passed away on January 22, 2001, at the age of 94. LARMAN, Lars Ingmar WWII Lars was born north of Leslie, Saskatchewan, and joined the Royal Regiment of Canada serving in Canada, England and France. He passed away on September 15, 1944.
