Discovering the Power in Me This partnership between the Pacific Institute, the Wounded Warriors Weekend and The Royal Canadian Legion (Saskatchewan Command) and its Branches is designed to build hope, strength and resiliency in our Wounded Warriors. It teaches our Wounded Warriors to manage change, set and achieve goals, be more effective and to think in ways that create success. This allows them to control their own thought processes in order to overcome symptoms and lead healthy, happy lives. Paws for Veterans This program raises much needed public awareness about Service Dogs and their presence in society; it also provides Service Dogs to needing Saskatchewan Veterans. Your ongoing support makes it possible to change the life of a Veteran, one Service Dog at a time. Alpha K9 Throughout the course of our lives there are very few things that people have put their faith and trust in to save lives; highly trained dogs are one of them. Be it a Military Working Dog looking for explosives on a distant battlefield, a Service Dog helping a wounded Veteran or abused child navigate through life or a Police Dog securing the streets, these dogs have been on the front lines defending and serving the people of Canada and the United States to not only secure our freedoms but keep us safe.
