The Royal Canadian Legion Saskatchewan Command LEST WE FORGET 93 BURTON, James Wilfred WWII James was born in 1922. He joined the Army in World War II and served with the Regina Rifles. Corporal Burton was discharged in 1946 and he died in 1989. BUSCH, Arthur WWII Arthur joined the Air Force and served with India Squadron 435 in Burma flying supplies to the British 14th Army who were liberating Burma. He survived when his transport plane crashed and burned near Gujarat, India but one crew of the Squadron was shot down in 1945. The plane was finally recovered 50 years later. BUSHELL, George WWI George was born in Hersley, England on November 10, 1894 and came to Pasqua, Saskatchewan to work for an uncle when he was 16 years old. He enrolled in the first agricultural college at Saskatoon, Saskatchewan and on March 24, 1916, enlisted in the Canadian Army in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan with the 28th Battalion. He served in France and was wounded in early battle. After his convalescence, he was sent back to the front lines. George married Doris Langdon of Birmingham, England on March 13, 1919 and received his discharge from the service by reason of demobilization on July 27, 1919 with the rank of Sergeant. George returned to Canada and in 1923, moved to Limerick, Saskatchewan where he farmed for many years. He retired to live in the village of Limerick and died on July 22, 1976. George is buried in the Hillcrest Cemetery in Limerick.
