The Royal Canadian Legion Saskatchewan Command LEST WE FORGET 77 BRANSON, Frank WWII Frank was born in 1900 in Northampton, United Kingdom. He joined the Army during World War II and served in Italy, France and Germany. Frank was a member of Carnduff Legion Branch 216 before his death in 1992. BREGG, Norman Ira WWII Norman was born on April 20, 1908. He joined the Canadian Army on June 25, 1940 and served in the Artillery and Medical Service Corps. Private Bregg was discharged on October 19, 1945. Norman passed away on January 18, 1997. BREGG, Rueben Gerald “Gerry” WWII Gerry was born on November 8, 1908 in Parry Sound, Ontario and later, his family farmed in the Semans area of Saskatchewan. At the age of 32, Gerry enlisted on November 28, 1940 and served as a Corporal in the Royal Canadian Air Force in Patricia Bay, British Columbia as an airplane mechanic. He was discharged on August 5, 1942. Gerry married Doris Tadman in 1942 and they had five children. In 1945, they moved to Semans to farm until 1959 when they moved to Saskatoon. There, Gerry owned a restaurant and was known for his Regal meat pies while Doris ran the boarding house. Gerry was a member of Semans Legion Branch 108 from 1946 and the Legion in Saskatoon from 1958 to 1970. Gerry died on January 9, 1970 and is buried in Semans beside Doris and their infant son, Larry.
