The Royal Canadian Legion Saskatchewan Command LEST WE FORGET 71 BOON, Ed C. WWII Ed joined the Army and served in England during World War II. He saw and heard the Doodle Bugs but they flew over. BOSSENBERRY, Arthur Joseph “Art” WWI & WWII Art was born in 1890 in Zurich, Ontario. He joined the Canadian Overseas Expeditionary Force in 1915 and served as a Sergeant with the Canadian Infantry, 5th Battalion, in England and France. While overseas, he met and married Lottie Cornelius. After the war, they settled in Froude, Saskatchewan. Art also served with the Veterans Guard of Canada from 1942 until 1945 during World War II. Art was a member of Codette Legion Branch 275 for thirty-four years before he passed away in 1977. BOSSENBERRY (NOWLAN), Dorothy Ann WWII Dorothy was born in 1922 in Tugaske, Saskatchewan. She joined the Canadian Women’s Army Corps in 1943 and took her basic training in Vermilion, Alberta. She was stationed in Vancouver, British Columbia and served as a laundry checker before being discharged in 1945. Dorothy died in 1968 in Regina, Saskatchewan.
