The Royal Canadian Legion Saskatchewan Command LEST WE FORGET 69 BOECHLER, John A. “Jack” WWII Jack joined the Army during World War II and served with the Royal Canadian Electrical and Mechanical Engineers. He was a member of and Past President of Spiritwood Legion Branch 182. BONE, Badon Powell WWII Badon was born on March 6, 1901. He joined the Canadian Army and served from 1940 to 1942 during World War II. Badon passed away on January 20, 1981. BOOKER, Robert George “Bob” KOREA Bob was born in Davidson, Saskatchewan on November 30, 1934 but the family moved to Moose Jaw in the 1940s. He joined the Army and served in Canada as a gunner with the Royal Canadian Artillery, Heavy and Light Infantry, in 1951 during the Korean Conflict. He took his training at Gordon Head in Victoria, British Columbia. He was discharged in 1953 at Regina and after employment in British Columbia and Saskatchewan, he returned to Davidson. Bob started farming and in 1956, married Marlene Mercier with whom he raised four children. Bob has been a member of Davidson Legion Branch 51 for forty-seven years and is still living on the farm.
