BARR, Ashley Thomas PEACETIME Ashley enlisted in the Army in October 1997 and is serving as a Corporal with the Princess Patricia’s Canadian Light Infantry, 2nd Battalion. BARR, Charlie WWII Charlie was born at home near Bangor, Saskatchewan in 1910. He joined the Army during World War II and was wounded while serving overseas resulting in the loss of a leg. He returned home in 1944. In 1947, Charlie got married, had three children, and worked in liquor stores while enjoying hunting, fishing and woodworking. Charlie passed away in 1994 in Broadview.
