The Royal Canadian Legion Saskatchewan Command LEST WE FORGET 473 WATT, Stewart Allen WWII Stewart was born on December 7, 1917. He enlisted in the Army in 1939 and was discharged in 1945. His brother Thomas also served in World War II but became ill and had to be released. Stewart passed away in 1959. WEBER, Vincent Frederick “Vince” WWII Vince was born in 1926 in Scott, Saskatchewan. He joined the Canadian Infantry Corps on October 28, 1944 in Regina, Saskatchewan and took his basic training in Camrose and at Currie Barracks in Calgary, Alberta. He went to Aldershot, England for training in the spring of 1945 then was sent to Ireland. While he was on the boat, peace was declared so he returned to Aldershot where he was re-assigned to Repatriation Depot #1. Corporal Weber served there until he returned to Canada and was discharged on December 6, 1946 in Winnipeg. Vince has been a member of Kerrobert Legion Branch 88 for sixty-seven years. WHITE, Clayton WWII Clayton was born in Gull Lake, Saskatchewan. He enlisted in the Royal Canadian Air Force in World War II and served in Europe with 419 Squadron. He was shot down over France on June 13, 1944. Clayton is buried in the Meharicourt Communal Cemetery in Somme, France.
