The Royal Canadian Legion Saskatchewan Command LEST WE FORGET 447 SPRATT, Clement A. “Clem” WWII Clem was born in Girvin, Saskatchewan. He joined the Army in 1941 and spent time in Halifax, Africa and Italy. He contracted Tuberculosis in Italy and came home on a hospital ship to a sanatorium in Saskatoon. He spent the majority of the next ten years there and was discharged in 1954, remaining in good health until 1976. Clem was a member of Harold Anderson Memorial Branch 78 in Saskatoon and a dual member of Davidson Legion Branch 51 for a total of twenty-eight years. He was employed by the Midway Store as a bookkeeper and was a part-time postal clerk in Davidson until his retirement in 1981. Clem died in April 1982. ST. JACQUES, Michel WWII Michel enlisted in the Canadian Army and served with the Regina Rifle Regiment during World War II. STANDINGHORN, Norman WWI Norman was from Battleford when he enlisted in the Canadian Army on December 6, 1915 during World War I. He served with the 232nd Battalion. Norman was awarded a Military Medal.
