George was a member of Bienfait Legion Branch 169 for fifty-one years before he passed away on September 5, 1997. SMYTH, Thomas Samuel David WWII Thomas was born on March 26, 1918 in Saskatchewan. He enlisted in the Royal Canadian Field Artillery and served in England, France, Belgium, Holland and Germany in World War II. Thomas was a member of Bienfait Legion Branch 169 for forty years prior to his death on February 25, 1986. SPARLING, Charles Howard WWI Charles enlisted in the Army to serve with the Canadian Army Service Corps in World War I. Private Sparling was killed in action on June 5, 1917 at the age of 24 and is buried in the Écoivres Military Cemetery in France.
