He served with the 45th Canadian Transport of the Royal Canadian Army Service Corps in England, France, Belgium, Holland and Germany during World War II. SELLS, Howard WWII Howard enlisted on July 12, 1940 as an Aero engine mechanic and went overseas in 1942. He served in the Royal Canadian Air Force with 419 Bomber Squadron. SELLS, Richard Valentine WWII Richard was born in Gull Lake, Saskatchewan on Valentine’s Day in 1922, thus was given the middle name of Valentine. He had lived on a farm his entire life until he enlisted in the Army to serve with the Queen’s Own Cameron Highlanders of Winnipeg. Richard was killed in action on March 3, 1945 in Holland and he is buried in the Groesbeek Canadian War Cemetery in The Netherlands.
