The Royal Canadian Legion Saskatchewan Command LEST WE FORGET 399 PUCKETT, Danny Clark “Dan” WWII Dan was born on July 24, 1925 in Davidson, Saskatchewan. He was raised on a farm near town and volunteered for the Royal Canadian Navy in 1942. Dan received training as a Stoker and radio man at the Royal Canadian Naval Academy in Cornwallis. As Seaman First Class, Dan served aboard the armoured frigate HMCS Lanark beginning in early 1943 as part of the many North Atlantic convoys shipping out from Halifax to Londonderry. He was discharged in late 1945 at the end of the war. Dan received the Atlantic Star, the 1939-45 Star, the Canadian Volunteer Service Medal and the King George VI Medal. He was a member of Davidson Legion Branch 51 for fifty-nine years prior to his passing in early February 2005. RABEAU, Arthur James PEACETIME Arthur was born on November 12, 1913. He joined the Royal Canadian Air Force and served in the Service Police in Mossbank, Trenton, Yarmouth and Briggs Harbour, Labrador. Corporal Rabeau was discharged on April 1, 1946. Arthur was a Life Member of Carnduff Legion Branch 216 before he passed away in December 10, 2000. RAMSEY, Donald Ross WWII Donald enlisted in the Army and served as a Lieutenant with the Royal Canadian Infantry Corps. He was killed in action on March 28, 1944 at the age of 22 and is buried in the Moro River Canadian War Cemetery in Italy.
