The Royal Canadian Legion Saskatchewan Command LEST WE FORGET 391 PATTERSON, Daniel “Dan” WWII Dan was born on June 4, 1913. He enlisted in the Princess Patricia’s Canadian Light Infantry in September 1939 and later transferred to the Loyal Edmonton Regiment. He served in England then was shipped out to Italy where he was killed in action on December 21, 1943. Dan is buried in Ortona, Italy. PAUL, Joseph “Jos” WWI & WWII Jos was born in Duck Lake. He served with the 46th Battalion, South Saskatchewan Regiment, and the 4th Canadian Division during World War I. Jos also served in World War II with the Regina Rifle Regiment. PEDERSON, Anker WWII Anker was born in Kyle, Saskatchewan. He enlisted at 19 years of age and served with the Calgary Highlanders. He participated in the invasion of France, was wounded twice, and was killed in action in France.
