He enlisted on September 20, 1940 and served in Northwest Europe in World War II. He left the service on October 23, 1945. He married and has been a member of Nutana Legion Branch 362. OSTER, John Paul WWII John was born in 1910 in Omaha, Nebraska. He enlisted in the Perth Regiment in May 14, 1941 at the Saskatoon No. 12A Depot and took his training in Drummondville, Quebec. He served in Canada, the United Kingdom and the Central Mediterranean area and was injured, losing his eye, which led to his discharge on November 1, 1944. John returned home and settled in the Medstead, Saskatchewan area. He was awarded the Canadian Volunteer Service Medal with Clasp, the 1939-45 Star, the Italy Star, the War Medal 1939-45 and the Defence Medal. John was a member of Medstead Legion Branch 179 and North Battleford Legion Branch 70 for a number of years before he passed away on November 14, 1982. PAGE, Cecilia WWII Cecilia was born in Lebret. She joined the Women’s Division of the Royal Canadian Air Force and served during World War II.
