The Royal Canadian Legion Saskatchewan Command LEST WE FORGET 369 NEATH, Fred George BOER WAR & WWI Fred was born in Somerset, England on April 28, 1876. He served for 12 years in the Royal Field Artillery in England and in the Boer War. After his discharge in 1902, Fred married Elizabeth Deumead in 1903 and they moved to Canada, had four children and farmed in the Hampstead district near Foam Lake, Saskatchewan. Fred walked to Yorkton and enlisted in the 5th Battalion, Canadian Infantry, on January 6, 1916 and served in France. He was killed in action on April 13, 1917 and is buried in the Bois-Carré British Cemetery in Thelus, France. NEDDOW, Robert B. WWII Robert was born on August 12, 1924 in Moose Jaw. He joined the Navy in April 1942 and served on ships in Canada, Newfoundland, the United Kingdom and on the high seas in the North Atlantic. Robert married and became a member of Nutana Legion Branch 362. NEILSON, Lillian G. WWII Lillian was born in 1922 in Wadena, Saskatchewan. She joined the Army during World War II and served with in Canada the Women’s Army Corps. Lillian passed away in 2011.
