The Royal Canadian Legion Saskatchewan Command LEST WE FORGET 355 MORRISON, F. D. KOREA F. D. Morrison was born in Saskatoon on July 31, 1928. He enlisted in the Army on January 5, 1949 and served with the Princess Patricia’s Canadian Light Infantry in Korea until leaving the service on March 11, 1953 as Craftsman. After his service, he became a railway engineer and has been a member of Nutana Legion Branch 362. MORRISON, Harold William WWII Harold was born on August 15, 1917 in Davidson, Saskatchewan. He enlisted in the Army on April 3, 1941 at the age of 24 and his Regiment was Fort Garry Horse, Division 5, Company C. Harold attended basic training camps in Kitchener and Camp Borden, Ontario. He went overseas on December 24, 1941 from Halifax to Southampton, Greenwich, England. He then categorized and transferred to Blackdown, England. He became a driver-training instructor and was in charge of carrier maintenance. He received a Service Medal and a Good Conduct Medal. Harold returned to Canada and was discharged on November 25, 1945. Harold married Leona Walter and they farmed and had three sons. Harold was a member of Davidson Legion Branch 51 for twenty-two years before he passed away of cancer in 1979 at the age of 61. MOSKOWEC, Raymond Pete PEACETIME Raymond was born in 1952 in Porcupine Plain, Saskatchewan. He joined the Canadian Armed Forces on October 10, 1969 and served 22 years in the Regular and Reserve Force, with peacekeeping tours in the United Nations Forces in Cyprus, West Germany, Canada and the United States. Raymond served for nine years from Private to Master Corporal then as an officer, mostly with the 1st and 2nd Battalions of the Princess Patricia's Canadian Light Infantry. He was awarded the Special Service Medal – NATO; the Canadian Peacekeeping Service Medal UN Medal (UNFICYP); the Canadian Forces Decoration II; the Fire Service Exemplary Medal; and the Service Medal of the Most Venerable Order of St. John. He also received the Nobel Laureate (Peace) 1988; the Nijmegen Marches 74-76; and the French Commando Badge (France). Currently, Raymond is in the Primary Reserves (Cadet Instructor Cadre), is involved with Nutana Legion Branch 362 and has been a member of Kindersley Legion Branch 59. He is also a member of the Blue Helmets, the Canadian Association Veterans of UN Peacekeepers, NATO Veterans of Canada and the Princess PPCLI Association.
