She joined the Canadian Army during World War II and served in Canada as a nurse. Martha passed away in 2009. MORRISON, Donald S. WWII Donald was born on October 3, 1915 in Sydney, Nova Scotia. He joined the Royal Canadian Air Force in 1943 and served in Canada and United Kingdom until leaving the service in March 1946. Donald married and became a member of Nutana Legion Branch 362. MORRISON, Ewart Laverne WWII Ewart was born on September 21, 1922. He joined the Royal Canadian Air Force at the age of 19 and served as a Flying Officer during World War II. He was killed in action on July 19, 1944 and is buried in the Villers St. Genest Communal Cemetery in France. Ewart was awarded the 1939-45 Star, the France and Germany Star, the Defence Medal and the Canadian Volunteer Service Medal with Clasp. He was posthumously awarded his Operational Wings on January 31, 1947.
