The Royal Canadian Legion Saskatchewan Command LEST WE FORGET 351 MORIN, Vital Arthur WWII Vital was born in 1923 in Île-à-la-Crosse, Saskatchewan and was in military service from July 1942 to October 1945. He was a Trooper in the Royal Canadian Armoured Corps and a Rifleman in the Regina Rifle Regiment, serving in England and Europe. Vital was awarded the 1939-45 Star, the France and Germany Star, the Canadian Volunteer Service Medal with Clasp and the War Medal 1939-45. Vital was captured in February 1945 and was a prisoner of war until his liberation on May 6, 1945. He passed away in 2000. MORRIS, Charles Ernest WWI Charles was born in 1894 in North Sydney, Nova Scotia. He joined the Canadian Army during World War I and served in France with the 14th Battalion. He went missing in action in France on September 7, 1916 and was taken prisoner at Giessen, Germany. He remained a prisoner until the end of the war. Charles died in 1942. MORRIS, Charles Herbert WWII Charles was born in 1923 in Montréal, Québec. He joined the Royal Canadian Air Force and served in England during World War II. Charles was a member of Armstrong Legion Branch in British Columbia before he passed away in 2004.
