The Royal Canadian Legion Saskatchewan Command LEST WE FORGET 341 MIDDLETON, Joseph John WWII Joseph was born in 1923 in MacNutt, Saskatchewan. He joined the Army in World War II and served with the 1st Canadian Special Service Battalion in Canada, Britain, the Central Mediterranean area and Northwest Europe. Joseph was killed in action in 1944 in Belgium. He was awarded the 1939-45 Star, the Italy Star, the France and Germany Star, the Canadian Volunteer Service Medal with Clasp and the War Medal 1939-45. MILLARD, Fred SPECIAL DUTY AREA Fred was born on January 30, 1935 in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. He served in England and Canada with the Royal Air Force (two years) and the Royal Canadian Air Force (twelve years). Fred was awarded the Canadian Forces Decoration in 1967. He was employed by Sasktel until his retirement. Fred has been a member of Saskatoon Legion Branch 63 for thirty-nine years. MILLIONS, Cecil Clement WWI Cecil was from Carnduff, Saskatchewan and he joined the Canadian Infantry, Saskatchewan Regiment, where he served as a Private in Europe where he was killed in action on September 28, 1917. Cecil is buried at the Vimy Memorial. He was 23 years of age.
