The Royal Canadian Legion Saskatchewan Command LEST WE FORGET 313 MANTYKA, E. PEACETIME E. Mantyka was born in Saskatoon on March 2, 1933. He enlisted in the Royal Canadian Air Force and served in Canada until he left the service in July 1955 as a Leading Aircraftman. He married and became a member of Nutana Legion Branch 362. MANZ, James Alfred WWII James was born in 1920 in Davidson, Saskatchewan. He joined the Army during World War II and served with the Regina Rifles in the United Kingdom and Continental Europe. He was discharged in February 1946 for health reasons. James was a member of Davidson Legion Branch 51 for twenty-two years before he passed away in 1981. MANZ, Leonard William WWII Leonard was born in 1916 in Earl Grey, Saskatchewan. He joined the Regina Rifles and served in France, Belgium, Holland and The Netherlands where he served in the Transport Division. He returned to Canada in January 1946 and got married in October. Leonard and his wife raised ten children on a farm west of Davidson. He passed away in 1983.
