The Royal Canadian Legion Saskatchewan Command LEST WE FORGET 29 ARCHER, Sidney William WWI Sidney joined the Canadian Army and served as a Lance Sergeant during World War I. He was killed in action on November 30, 1917 and is buried in the Hermies Hill British Cemetery in Pas-de-Calais in France. Sidney was 31 years old at the time of his death. ARMSTRONG, Richard Samuel WWII Richard was born on December 10, 1922. He joined the Army on January 4, 1943 and served as a gunner in the Canadian Artillery until his discharge on March 27, 1946. Richard passed away on October 24, 1979. ARMSTRONG, Samuel Gordon WWI Samuel was born on July 23, 1896. He joined the British Army Infantry in May 1917 and did his army training in England and Ireland. Private Armstrong was wounded while serving in France and convalesced in England. He was discharged in January 1919. Samuel passed away on April 5, 1989.
