The Royal Canadian Legion Saskatchewan Command LEST WE FORGET 295 LINCOLN, Harold WWII Harold was born in 1919 in Wawota, Saskatchewan. He enlisted in Weyburn with the South Saskatchewan Regiment and he trained at Shilo, Manitoba. In 1940, he went overseas to England to the Canadian Headquarters. In 1944, the 5th Armoured Division Transport Regiment or Company was transferred to Italy. As a truck driver, he picked olives that hung over the road to eat. After being discharged in 1945, he returned home to farm, married his sweetheart and raised a family. Harold passed away in 2012. LINDBERG, P. Robert WWII Robert was born on July 23, 1920 in Dundurn, Saskatchewan. He joined the Royal Canadian Air Force on October 29, 1941 and left the service as a Leading Aircraftman. He married, became a member of Nutana Legion Branch 362 and passed away on April 30, 1995. LOEWER, Roland PEACETIME Roland was born on September 18, 1947 in Germany. He enlisted in the Canadian Army in September 1963 and served in the King’s Own Calgary Regiment until leaving the service in September 1967 as Lance Sergeant. Roland married and has been a member of Nutana Legion Branch 362.
