The Royal Canadian Legion Saskatchewan Command LEST WE FORGET 291 LELLIOTT, Leonard F. WWII Leonard was born on June 23, 1922 in Winnipeg, Manitoba. He enlisted in the Army on September 12, 1939 and served in the United Kingdom, Italy and Northwest Europe during World War II. Sergeant Lelliott left the service on February 25, 1946. He married and became a member of Nutana Legion Branch 362. LEPOUDRE, André Joseph WWII André was born in 1921 in Davidson, Saskatchewan. He enlisted on December 2, 1922 at the age of 21 and did his basic training in Regina before transferring to many bases across Canada. He took part in the Aleutian Campaign (Kiska) on August 12, 1942 but the Japanese had already left. He transferred to Debert, Nova Scotia on January 1, 1945 then proceeded to England on January 15. André was part of the Occupation Force in Germany, Holland and Belgium. He was a G.N.R. with the Royal Canadian Army Artillery with 13 Field Regiment, 3rd Canadian Division and 24 Field Regiment, 6th Canadian Division, with a trade of Signaller C Group Division. Discharged on April 18, 1946, he married Justine Rempel of Davidson. They had two children and he passed away on July 21, 1954. LEPOUDRE, Octave André WWII Octave was born on December 25, 1919 in Davidson, Saskatchewan. He joined the Royal Canadian Navy and served as Able Seaman on the Wentworth, an escort ship for supply ships that left from the West Coast of Canada and docked in Belfast, Ireland. He crossed the Atlantic seven times. Octave was a member of Davidson Legion Branch 51 for forty-six years before he passed away in 2012.
